Kids will try pasting an AI summary. Wise Kid is built so that it doesn't pay off, and so you find out when it happens. Every signal lands on your report, so the conversation is yours to have.
Two-model detection
Claude checks 8 writing signals against your child's age and grade. A second model (Llama 3.3) must agree before anything is flagged.
Paste telemetry
The form records whether the summary was typed, spoken, or pasted in. A 300-word paste with 4 keystrokes shows up on your report as a plain fact.
Follow-up quiz

How does the AI score my child's reading summary?
Each summary gets an overall score from 1 to 5 plus 4 subscores: specificity, structure, insight, and vocabulary. You also get strengths, 1 or 2 things to work on, conversation starters for dinner, reading tips, and book recommendations. Scoring takes under a minute.
Can my kid cheat with ChatGPT?
They can try. Two AI models check the writing against your child's age, the form records whether the text was typed or pasted in, and 3 quick questions follow every submission. If you want zero loopholes, turn on handwriting mode and your child must photograph a handwritten page.
Does my child need an account?
No. Each child gets a unique link. They tap it, write or speak their summary, and submit. No login, no password, no email address. You're the only one with an account.
What ages is Wise Kid for?
Kids who can read a chapter book and write (or say) about 250 words, which is roughly ages 7 to 14. Younger readers can use voice mode. The feedback and follow-up questions scale with the child's age and grade.
Is it safe and COPPA compliant?
Kids never create accounts. There are no ads, no social features, and no way for them to see other children's data. We're COPPA compliant and the only person who sees your child's information is you.
Does it work for homeschool families and teachers?
Yes. The Homeschool plan covers up to 25 children. The Classroom plan gives teachers CSV student import, class-wide analytics, and weakness reports for up to 35 students per classroom, with as many classrooms as you need.
