These terms apply to all users of the Service, including parents, guardians, and children who access the Service through parent-controlled submission links.

2. Description of Service

Wise Kid is a reading tracking application designed for families. Parents can create profiles for their children, track reading submissions, and receive AI-powered feedback on reading summaries. Children access the service through unique submission links provided by their parents.

3. Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
  • You must provide accurate and complete information during registration
  • You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Parental Responsibilities

As a parent or guardian using Wise Kid, you agree to:

  • Provide verifiable consent for your children's use of the Service
  • Supervise your children's use of the submission links
  • Keep submission links secure and not share them publicly
  • Only create profiles for children under your legal guardianship
  • Ensure the information provided about your children is accurate

5. Subscription and Payments

Free Trial

New users receive a 14-day free trial. After the trial period, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the Service.

Subscription Plans

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually based on your selection
  • Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice
  • Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  • Submit content that is harmful, offensive, or inappropriate
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
  • Share submission links publicly or with unauthorized parties
  • Impersonate another person or entity

7. AI-Generated Content

Wise Kid uses artificial intelligence to provide feedback on reading submissions. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally be incorrect or inappropriate. Parents should review AI feedback before sharing it with children. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Wise Kid and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain ownership of content you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a license to use, process, and display that content for the purpose of providing the Service.

9. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using the Service, you consent to the practices described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. You may also delete your account at any time through your account settings.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE.

12. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL WISE KID, ITS DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE PAST TWELVE MONTHS.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
